Our team has extensive experience in all forms of housing and residential design, and we take a deeply personal approach to understand the needs of the people who will be living in the homes we design. We know that a home is more than just a place to live - it's a place to call your own, and it should be a platform for you to live your best life.
We are particularly passionate about Housing for All. We have worked closely with government and not-for-profit organisations to create social housing that meets the specific needs of people who have experienced housing instability and homelessness. Some of our work includes significant projects such as Yanget House in Bunbury, and, more recently, the transformational Common Ground projects in East Perth and Mandurah. We understand the specific needs of these projects by working closely with people with lived experience of housing instability and homelessness. Our inclusive consultation process ensures that everyone's voice is heard and understood. Our commitment to creating high-quality housing for all is driven by our belief that everyone has the right to a home.
An Integrated housing and support continuum, Department of Communities, WA Housing Strategy 2020-2030
Expanding our perspective, we also work with private developers to create affordable, multi-residential housing options that are both attractive and functional. Our work with government agencies, such as Development WA, has allowed us to explore affordable, multi-residential models to deliver diverse high-quality housing options for new urban infill developments. This work continues with private developers, such as Frasers Property group, to design best-practice, market entry-level apartment designs.
At Gresley Abas, we believe that residential design is much more than just designing houses or apartments. It's about creating homes that are a reflection of the people who live in them whilst providing spaces that support physical and emotional well-being. We call it Design for Living. We understand that it’s much more than a place to live…it’s a place to call home.
