Champion Centre - Seville Grove Library Redevelopment
The Champion Centre is a Family and Community Centre for the local Whadjuk Community of Armadale. It has been operating from an old and tired community hall for over 10 years while delivering more than 80 critical community services and acting as a hub for community celebrations and cultural events. The adjacent Seville Grove Library has had few improvements in its 27 year history.
The project delivers rejuvenated buildings which open up to newly-created external activity spaces, and ancient spiritual bushland. The kitchen is moved to the HEART of the project and can be used in a variety of flexible usage patterns to accommodate a full range of service provisions or events. The opportunity to develop synergies between the two facilities has been realised through the careful integration of these two critically important community resources.
Gresley Abas are very proud to be associated with the Champion Centre and Seville Grove Library, and to be assisting the realisation of achievable aspirations for the local community and the City of Armadale.
